Mickey

Very first Mickey!
Two weeks ago Case followed instructions and drew a Mickey Mouse.

It is the most beautiful art I've ever seen. Since then, the friendly mouse has been scrawled on EVERYTHING. That, and the letter "H"-his favorite.

Installing the big chalkboard in the living room was a really good idea. Every time it is blank, he fills it with smiling faces and random letters.
The hard part is erasing such masterpieces.

Beach

Today we went to the Destin jetty, to try a little snorkeling. The fish there are not the most colorful, but it is still a lot of fun. The set up was pretty nice too-Case likes playing on the rocks and they protect him from waves. The best part was the crabs though. We snagged a few little crabs and hermit crabs off the rocks and built them a little tide pool. Case thought this was the best thing ever. He had so much fun he didn't mind when the crab pinched him, making him more tough than me-I thought they pinched pretty darn hard.

Kids

Case and Cash are having a fantastic time together. Lots of little hugs and giggles, and some really smooth dancing.

Strawberries

Today we went up to Crestview and picked strawberries. I was hoping it would be a cute and fun thing for Case to do, with the added bonus of bringing home fresh strawberries.
Instead Case picked ONE (1) strawberry, then ran around getting sweaty and red until Cody and Raquel took pity on him and fed him ice cream.

It did wear him out pretty well.

The Rooster says

Marc's tired post-trial feet in the background
Case went up a level last night and figured out, finally, how to point the indicator arrow on his See and Say.

It is so cute to watch him point at specific animals and identify them! I love watching him play now that he realizes he can make his favorite animals chime in on purpose. It is also great to hear him actually playing with the toy, instead of repeatedly stimming on the shotgun sound of the lever.
