Next up in our summer of fun was the Georgia Renaissance Festival. We went on Pirate weekend, because nothing makes Case happier than having people with eye patches and big hats yell "Arr!" back at him. It turns out it was approximately 1000 degrees that day though, so in retrospect we should have gone the weekend before when temperatures had been unseasonably wonderful.No matter, we had a good time. All Case's favorite things involved animals:
Jousting,
Birds of Prey show,
Parrots of the Caribbean,
and a very small and furry shoulder dragon he talked me into.
He didn't so much care for the Maypole dance though, even though we were surrounded by real live fairies. It's Oberon and Titania! Has the kid never read Shakespeare? Perhaps this is what I get for relying on a public education.

I really expected that if any 7 year olds were reading Shakespeare it would be your kid.

The difference between picture one and the last one is really funny. I copied them and put them right next to each other - what a crack up.
We just got home to 80+ hot weather. ugg, now Im going to be wanting winter to come back!!We had a great time with you two when you were out. Miss you, love dad
