Nerd fun

Case and I played a game to practice a little math today. You write the numbers from 1 to 20then put your 20 sided dice in a cup to shakeshakeshake the hell out of it, making as much noise as possible. (Yep, Case's dice live in a tiny adorable Hurlburt Field recycling container).
After the die is sufficiently rattled you pour it out on the coffee table
then circle the matching number on your score card. After a while you will realize that 20 is a lot of numbers. Mommy will loose her turn just to move things along. Tiny M&Ms will be produced to reward persistence.
Eventually you will reach the point where the last 3 number will never ever be rolled. At that point, it is permissive to just pick up the die and find the lacking numbers. Tracing the numbers is good practice too!

Next time we might speed up the game by using more dice per roll, or use less numbers in the first place. But it definitely was fun!

what a great game! Which is evident by the BIG grin on his face

Great idea - fun math. Before I couldn't imagine those two words in the same sentence.

That is such a great idea, talk about motivating. Now, if we can only think of an adding game or something to play while stacking dice...
